Dear Esteemed Members,

It is with great humility and a deep sense of responsibility that I assume the role of Honorary Secretary of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Mumbai Metro Branch for the term 2025–2027. I sincerely thank all members for the trust and confidence reposed in me.

Mumbai holds a unique and proud place in our history as the birthplace of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists. This legacy places upon us a special responsibility to uphold the highest standards of academic excellence, ethical practice, and professional leadership, while continuing to shape the future of anaesthesiology in Mumbai Metro Branch and beyond.

Building on this strong foundation, our focus during this term will be on inclusive academic growth, meaningful member engagement, and strengthening professional excellence across all members.

Over the coming two years, we aim to:

• Promote high-quality academic programs, workshops, and hands-on training with practical relevance
• Encourage young anaesthesiologists and residents through mentorship, research workshops and leadership opportunities
• Encouraging public partnership in training non-medical personals in basic life supports and COLS.
• Strengthen ethical practice, patient safety, and professional well-being.
• Ensure transparent, responsive, and member-centric functioning of the society.

I firmly believe that a society grows stronger when its members actively participate. I warmly invite each one of you to contribute your ideas, time, and energy to make this term productive, progressive, and worthy of Mumbai’s historic legacy.
